Alexis has been working in the mental health field as a therapist for almost 10 years. Alexis has experiences working with families involved with Child Protective Services as an in-home therapist, mental health assessments for Nebraska Medicaid, outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization, and over 8 years working on an acute psychiatric unit. Alexis has experience working on a variety of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, mood disorders, parenting, oppositional defiant disorder, attention deficit disorder, crisis work, and grief/loss. Alexis has done volunteer work for Ted E. Bear Hollow, completed EMDR training, completed Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and taken courses on Play Therapy. Alexis incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy as well as interactive/play based ideas to help clients reach goals. Alexis looks forward to working with a variety of clients, ranging from young children to adults, and has experiences working with clients as young as four years old.
